IT’S SUMMER, and the times we’re in call for some musical antidotes! Every summer brings songs celebrating sun and fun, and hearing them refreshes those memories. We could all use a lift, so Panacea will be rocking the positive energy of SUMMER, performing the best hits of the summers of the ‘60s to the 90’s, to just sit back and relax, or get out on the dance floor! Panacea has hosted a town-wide reunion in Newtown on Labor Day weekend for over a decade, and for this occasion, original members Leslie Ballard (flute, vocals) and Corky Ballard (guitar, vocals) are joined by top-flight musicians Tony Traina (drums) and Christian Martirano (keyboards). With their unique Kurzweil keyboard, you’ll hear every orchestral, choral, and percussion arrangement, as originally recorded. From Joni Mitchell and Linda Ronstadt to Billy Joel and Santana, Beatles and Doobie Brothers, to Stevie Wonder, it’s a celebration of the greatest songs from an Era of Great Songs!
