Summer cocktails and drinks to order in CT — and make yourself

Wine Slushies at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards
I’m not normally one for sweet drinks but at least once a summer I can’t resist the lure of the Connecticut winery slushie: a potent mix of alcohol, ice and sugar that delivers a heap of summer vibes. While many wineries now feature slushies, my personal favorite is the red and white wine slushy mix at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards in Newtown.
