Join Rowanwood Farm for a llamazing special afternoon at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards! Meet Rowanwood Farm’s rare miniature llamas while sipping your favorite llibation and learning all about these lovely, calm creatures. This one-hour experience gives you the opportunity to get close to the llamas, take photos and selfies, and learn more about them by asking questions of Rowanwood Farm’s knowledgeable volunteers. The llamas may stand, sit, or settle into their favorite spot overlooking the vineyard, creating a beautiful backdrop for your photos. Please note: This is a look, learn & photograph experience. For the comfort and safety of the llamas, guests may not pet, touch, feed, or handle them. You’ll still have plenty of opportunities to see them up close, capture memorable photos, and learn about their personalities, care, and unique characteristics. This event is open to all ages, and non-alcoholic beverage options are available. Children require a ticket as well. Based right here in Newtown, Rowanwood Farm is Connecticut’s only mini llama hiking adventure company and farm. Their Peruvian, Bolivian, Chilean, and Argentinian miniature llamas are a beloved part of their family. Arrival & Event Guidelines • Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled event time and check in at the indoor winery tasting room. • A minimum purchase of $10 per adult participant and $4 per underage participant is required and may be applied toward wine or any non-alcoholic beverage. • Outside alcohol, beverages, and filled water bottles are not permitted on the premises due to our Farm Winery Permit regulations. Our staff reserves the right to check bags and coolers. • Llamas may not be petted, touched, fed, or handled. Guests are welcome to take photos, ask questions, and enjoy observing the llamas up close. • Dogs are not permitted at the Llama Time event for the comfort and safety of the animals.
